Sir Winston's goes safari with South African wine event

LONG BEACH, Calif.; Apr. 15, 2010 - The Queen Mary will host an exclusive Dinner with the Winemakers event on May 8 at Sir Winston's featuring wines from South Africa, cultural entertainment, exciting giveaways and excellent cuisine.

South African wine importer, Cape Classics, will provide unique selections from their portfolio to be paired with cuisine inspired by that region of the African continent. Highlighted wines include Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc, Kanonkop "kadette" Pinotage Blend and Kanu "kia ora" Noble Late Harvest. The Queen Mary's award-winning culinary staff has developed a sustainable and culturally significant pairing menu featuring such items as smoked snoek, gold kingklip and supreme of guinea fowl.

Throughout the evening, diners will have the chance to win very exciting and thematic prizes including two tickets to the opening night of Disney's The Lion King at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa and two round trip tickets from Long Beach to South Africa on South African Airways.

The dinner will take place on Saturday, May 8 with a reception beginning at 6:00 p.m. and dinner service at 7:00 p.m.
The price is $ 75 per person not including tax, gratuity or parking.
