BUFFALO, N.Y. (December 1, 2008) - As part of an overall strategic guest facility and conference center expansion plan, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite has acquired the 53-unit Apple Tree Inn in Fish Camp, California. The Apple Tree Inn will receive an immediate soft goods renovation during the first quarter of 2009, and will be available for guest stays.
"The synergy of taking on the Apple Tree Inn makes perfect sense," said Tom McCann, general manager for Delaware North Companies at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. "Tenaya has been providing Apple Tree Inn guests with primary dining, spa and recreation services due to Apple Tree Inn's previously limited offerings. Not only will the guest accommodations at Apple Tree Inn be upgraded, but they will now include all of the AAA Four Diamond services Tenaya Lodge has offered lodge guests for over two decades. The additional room configurations add a new dimension to Tenaya Lodge by offering a new hospitality suite and multi room unit options for groups and families."
Tenaya Lodge, located at the popular south entrance of Yosemite National Park, is currently expanding its High Sierra conference and spa facilities. The new meetings facility will increase its primary ballroom from 6,000 square feet to over 10,000 square feet and add three new 700 square foot breakout spaces. A new 8,000-squarefoot spa, with numerous treatment rooms, will also be constructed in tandem with the new meeting facilities.
"With all of the additions and refinement Tenaya Lodge will be receiving in the coming months, it will truly be positioned as one of the Western United States' premier four season leisure and conference destinations," said McCann.
