Southland Park Gaming & Racing and Cub Scout Pack 172 from Marion, Arkansas teamed up to show their support for Earth Day on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

 

The scouts concentrated their efforts on the channel that runs parallel with the Southland property. The Cub Scout Pack 172 picked up enough trash to fill the bed of a half ton truck. All of the participants received a Greenpath pin and a lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers for all of their hard work. They will also receive community service pins and their participation will count toward other merit awards. This event was part of Southland’s efforts to support Earth Day with promotions all month long spotlighting ways to contribute to our planet wisely and connect volunteers with green solutions. Greenpath is the environmental management system for Delaware North Companies the parent company for Southland Park Gaming and Racing.
