California’s first ski resort, Yosemite's Badger Pass Ski Area, will open on Saturday, December 20 for downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. 

Striving to adopt environmentally-friendly lighting and native decor into the holiday spirit, The Ahwahnee®, Yosemite’s Four-Diamond, national historic landmark hotel, has replaced all incandescent bulbs on its holiday trees with energy efficient, light-emitting diode (LED) varieties, while honoring the hotel’s spectacular setting and heritage with ornamentation made from a variety of materials grown locally in California.

The Curry Village ice rink in Yosemite National Park is one of the last remaining outdoor ice skating venues still operating in California.  After much anticipation, it opened Thursday, November 27, on Thanksgiving Day, for the holidays and the 2008 -2009 winter season.

As part of an overall strategic guest facility and conference center expansion plan, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite has acquired the 53-unit Apple Tree Inn in Fish Camp, California.

In an effort to further provide park customers with a complete, hands-on experience, Yosemite National Park concessionaire Delaware North Companies has partnered with MMG Worldwide to develop an integrated campaign focused on thoroughly exploring the outdoors. Through the "Take it All In" campaign, visitors are urged to step outside of their cars and use GPS technology to actively engage in biking, hiking and sightseeing.
