Yosemite Lodge At The Falls Completes Extensive Renovation

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., April 1, 2014 – Yosemite Lodge at the Falls, operated by Delaware North Companies (DNC) Parks & Resorts at Yosemite, Inc., announces the completion of a $10 million dollar multi-phased refurbishment of the hotel's guest rooms and lobby in addition to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) updates to accessible paths of travel. Reflective of DNC’s award-winning environmental stewardship platform GreenPath®, the hotel's guest rooms were remodeled using eco-friendly materials. Yosemite Lodge at the Falls guest rooms were designed with a soothing, neutral palette featuring Yosemite-themed artwork by local photographers. more >

Yosemite's Badger Pass Ski Area to Open Downhill Skiing February 8, 2014

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., February 7, 2014 – Yosemite National Park’s Badger Pass Ski Area will open downhill skiing on Saturday, February 8 after the recent storms in Yosemite National Park.  The free shuttle to and from Badger Pass from Yosemite National Park lodges will begin service on opening date. The Nordic Center offering snowshoeing and cross-country skiing opened for the season on Friday, February 7. Badger Pass Ski Area’s Snowtubing Hill will open at a later date as more snow is needed. more >

Yosemite National Park to Reopen Nordic Center at Badger Pass Ski Area Friday, February 7

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., February 5, 2014 – Badger Pass Ski Area, operated by Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts at Yosemite, reopens the Nordic Center offering cross-country ski and snowshoe activities this Friday, February 7. The Nordic Center originally opened for the 2013-14 season on December 20, but was closed on December 26 due to the lack of snow coverage as a result of the unseasonably warm temperatures.  more >

Yosemite Mountaineering School to Offer New Guided "Yosemite Valley Rim Adventure" Backpacking Trip

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., January 28, 2014 – The Yosemite Mountaineering School and Guide Service, operated by Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts at Yosemite, announces a new guided backpacking trip available this summer in Yosemite National Park. The new three-day "Yosemite Valley Rim Adventure" is a great opportunity for park visitors to have an introduction to backpacking while enjoying the iconic views and hiking trails in Yosemite. The trip takes backpackers on a lesser-known hiking trail that starts on the historic Big Oak Flat Trail. After the first day hiking, the group will spend the night camping on the top of El Capitan. The second night of the trip is spent above Yosemite Falls, which is the highest waterfall in the United States.  The third day consists of hiking down the Yosemite Falls Trail to Yosemite Valley.  more >

Yosemite National Park’s Badger Pass Ski Area’s Nordic Center to Open Friday, December 20

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., December 18, 2013 – Badger Pass Ski Area, operated by Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts at Yosemite, begins its cross-country ski and snowshoe services this Friday, December 20. Badger Pass Ski Area requires additional snow to open the downhill and tubing section of the ski area. Yosemite National Park features approximately 100 miles of world-class cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails accessible from Badger Pass, which includes a groomed trail to Glacier Point. Yosemite National Park Reopens

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., October 17, 2013 — Yosemite National Park reopened to the public Wednesday night October 16, 2013. This national treasure was closed to visitors on October 1, 2013 due to the government shutdown. Now that the park is reopened, Delaware North Companies (DNC) Parks & Resorts, authorized concessioner for Yosemite National Park, is reopening all lodging, dining, retail, recreation and tours in the park. This includes The Ahwahnee, Yosemite Lodge at the Falls, Curry Village and Housekeeping Camp. DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite is fully prepared for all visitors as it ramps up to full service. Visitors should consult www.YosemitePark.com for additional details. All roads in the park, including the Glacier Point Road and Mariposa Grove Road, are open. Wawona Hotel and General Store in Yosemite National Park Reopens Today

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., October 12, 2013 — The Wawona Hotel and the Wawona General Store operated by Delaware North Companies (DNC) Parks & Resorts at Yosemite will reopen to the public today, October 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. The government shutdown remains in effect; however, hotels and restaurants that are located on through roads in national parks can reopen. Yosemite National Park remains closed and all facilities in Yosemite Valley are closed.
